Have you ever seen a sea turtle in Lebanon?

I am a sea man, but I 've never seen these small species in my area, and never knew existed in Lebanon  until I saw a picture shared by @SanaTawileh on twitter. Apparently you can find the sea turtle in Batroun coast -North Lebanon  and Tyre coast -south Lebanon
The Orange House Project   is a private initiative working hard to preserve the sea turtle in Lebanon,
Threats to turtles according to the orange house project

threats to turtles include the use of close-meshed fishing nets and illegal dynamite fishing, often the work of impoverished southerners in search of a livelihood who need to be offered an alternative, sustainable way of fishing. Pollution from rubbish, plastic bags and industrial waste is a danger to marine life along Lebanon’s 150 km coastline. Some municipal dumps are located on the coast, notably a giant one in the southern city of Sidon which has partially collapsed into the sea several times.
Natural predators include crabs, dogs and seagulls.
Baby sea turtles are being sold in pet shops in Lebanon.

hi nice pic! This year we had lots of jellyfish and for a longer period due to the fact that turtles coming to the Lebanese coast, which usually eat the jellyfish suffocated in the plastic bags!

Wow! Never knew that either! They're so cute! I used to go sea turtle watching in Trinidad..It's especially nice to see when they come ashore to lay eggs.
